- Attention: in 2009 the organisation COSBO-Amsterdam is merged with other organisations into Cliëntenbelang Amsterdam, www.clientenbelangamsterdam.nl.
This website is made for and about people above 50 years in the city of Amsterdam, the capital
of the Netherlands (Holland) in Europe.
It contains rather specialized information: plans and policy of town government and institutions
in Amsterdam with regard to middle aged and elderly people. Therefore the site is only in Dutch
language.

In particular this site pays attention to the progress of the activities of 50-plus people in Amsterdam to have a say in the matter.
Advocacy for the elderly
As much people above 50 years belong to the more vulnerable groups in society, advocacy is needed. This
concerns a broad specter: housing-conditions, traveling, welfare, cure, care and many other aspects of
life. There are lots of common interests, and many seniors contribute to this as volunteers.
Our organisation 'COSBO-Amsterdam' stands for independent and non-profit professional support for the
organized senior people in Amsterdam, developing a scale of activities and projects for this goal.
